Preservation Maryland is pleased to announce a fun trans-Atlantic partnership we have formed with Kiplin Hall & Gardens, a historic house museum in the UK – built by George Calvert in the early 1620s – that tells the story of the Calverts, one of the earliest European families in Maryland. Preservation Maryland regularly connects with our friends at Kiplin Hall, and we’ve featured aspects of Kiplin’s work on PreserveCast many times throughout the years.
We are now helping Kiplin show its link to the US by gathering stories from Maryland – and beyond – for Kiplin’s Christmas display “A Time Travellers Christmas,” which will feature Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions from around the world and in the past.
Preservation Maryland has created a form so participants can share their experiences and traditions from an American Thanksgiving with Kiplin. Please consider contributing to this exhibit by sharing your stories and/or photos via the form, linked below, by November 14th.
