Earlier this Fall, Preservation Maryland had the opportunity to partner with CIRCA Old Houses to raise funds for our Revolving Fund. Thanks to the generosity of over 200 people across the country, we raised over $5,000 to support our property redevelopment projects.

Elizabeth Finkelstein, the founder of CIRCA Old Houses, donated 100% of the proceeds of sales of their “Save All The Old Houses” pin to Preservation Maryland’s revolving fund. The program is currently actively rehabilitating a log cabin in the heart of Hagerstown, Maryland’s African American corridor along Jonathan Street.

When the fundraising campaign ended in September, 216 pins had been purchased in support of the program and resulted in a donation of $5,400 to the Jonathan Street cabin. Every $25 pin – and every direct donation dollar – put us closer to meeting our rehabilitation budget and putting the restored house back into private local ownership.

Why donate to our Revolving Fund?

YOUR GIFT KEEPS GIVING!

Gifts to Preservation Maryland’s innovative property redevelopment program, allows us to acquire, rehabilitate, and resell a historic property. The proceeds of that sale go back into the program to save more historic places across the state. In that way, your gift to our Revolving Fund continues to make a difference well into the future.
