RFP: Relocate Historic Severen Mister House on Deal Island

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is seeking proposals for the relocation of the historic Severn Mister House on Deal Island on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

The ca. 1815 Severn Mister House also known as the Bradshaw House is located on Deal Island Wildlife Management Area at the mouth of the Manokin River in Somerset County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

The house will be offered for free, with preference given to proposals that offer to move or deconstruct and restore/rebuild the house. In the event that no such proposals are received, proposals for salvage will be considered.

Proposal will be accepted through July 18, 2018 extended from the previous due date of June 27, 2018. The house must be moved and the site cleaned up by October 31, 2018.
