DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Development Manager reports to the Vice President and will manage organizational fundraising efforts with a focus on The Campaign for Historic Trades. This is a full-time professional position that requires a minimum of three years of experience. Candidates should have demonstrated practical experience in charitable non-profit fundraising and be adept at constituent relationship management systems. Experience working with Engage is preferred. Salary $56,000 – $65,000, annually. Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.

This position will assist with a broad range of activities in support of fundraising and development efforts focused on The Campaign for Historic Trades. Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting fundraising appeals to individual and corporate donors,
  • Prepare or oversee drafting of grant proposals to agencies and foundations,
  • Generate and prepare fundraising reports
  • Prepare mailing lists for donor communications, such as appeals and event invitations
  • Lead execution of organizational fundraising and stewardship events
  • Meet with donors and prospective donors / funders
  • Develops face-to-face cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for donors
  • Responsible for donor communication / correspondence including gift proposals
  • Supports production and distribution of donor mailings
  • Oversee special fundraising projects as identified in collaboration with the VP
  • Develop and execute annual fundraising plans, including goals and benchmarks
  • Research and identify prospective funders
  • Build and maintain corporate partner / funder relationships
  • Provide broad support for development efforts
  • Work collaboratively with Campaign for Historic Trades team on identified goals
