Community Forklift seeks Preservation Workshop Presenters

Community Forklift in Hyattsville is one of many awesome non-profit reuse centers in Maryland; they take unwanted buildings materials and offer them to the public along with training and education to keep the cost of home repairs affordable throughout the community. And, right now, Community Forklift is looking for leaders of those educational opportunities!

FROM COMMUNITY FORKLIFT

As you may know, part of our mission here at Community Forklift is to educate the public about reuse. One way we do this is by offering free workshops on sustainability, old home repair, upcycling, and DIY. Right now, we’re planning our Spring Workshop Series, and we’re looking for presenters.

Often our workshop presenters are community members, artisans, and/or tradespeople who shop here and use our materials regularly.

Do you fit the description below – or do you know someone who does?

We offer all presenters a $75 gift certificate to our warehouse as a token of appreciation for their time, expertise, and commitment to our local communities. We also do quite a bit of marketing for each workshop in our newsletter, on our website, and on our social media. So if you have a small business, this can be a great way to get some publicity and attract new clients. If you’re interested, please fill out this form so we can learn more about you and your topic.
