From drafting legislation, to meeting with key legislators and their staff, to testifying in front of committees, Elly helps lead our advocacy efforts. She organizes our annual Preservation Advocacy Day which brings together over a hundred preservation advocates from across the state to Annapolis. She also leads the Maryland delegation for National Historic Preservation Advocacy Week in Washington, DC.
In addition to her advocacy work, Elly provides essential project management to all of Preservation Maryland’s programs, events, and outreach campaigns. She plans and organizes our major annual events. Chances are if there’s something Preservation Maryland is working on, Elly has some hand in it.
Baltimore-born and raised, Elly studied history and economics at the University of Baltimore. She lives in the Lauraville Historic District northeast of downtown Baltimore.
