by | Jul 7, 2016

Preservation Maryland was pleased to host Storm Cunningham to be our keynote speaker, whose international research brought about the concept of the restoration economy.

“Restoration is the business and the spirit of the 21st century. We are redeveloping our nations, revitalizing our cities, renewing our rural economies…all while rehabilitating our ecosystems, fisheries, and watersheds.” – Storm Cunningham

Storm is an author, planner, and growth strategist and is on top of the latest trends in urban and rural regeneration, nature restoration, and economic resilience. As a consultant, Storm helps cities and regions find their best revitalization opportunities, creating effective strategies for funding and action. As a speaker, Storm inspires people, helping places overcome pessimism, partisanship, lethargy, and silos when launching renewal efforts. You will leave his morning keynote optimistic about the future and ready to absorb all of the great lessons of Summer School.
