The Maryland General Assembly sessions opens on January 11, 2017 – and Preservation Maryland wants you to be ready to advocate for historic preservation from day one! Please join us for one of our Preservation Town Halls happening across the state in early January:

Maryland deserves well-preserved historic communities, sites, and architecture, and the only way we’ll accomplish this is by working together in advocacy. Preservation Maryland and local partners will host important town-hall style meetings across Maryland to learn about local, state, and federal advocacy efforts to help save places that matter and how you can be a force for reinvestment and redevelopment.

Save the Date for Maryland History Advocacy Day

If you can only make it to one advocacy event this session, please attend Advocacy Day on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 8:45am to 8pm at the William Paca House in Annapolis. History, humanities and preservation advocates from across the state will descend on Annapolis to let their elected officials know that our state’s history is worth protecting. We will be advocating for the policies, programs, and funding that makes our collective work possible. Attendees make their own schedules, and can come to as many meetings as they like, with an optional reception in the evening. Read a recap of last year’s successful Advocacy Day.
