On Tuesday, December 5, 2017, Preservation Maryland hosted a live telephone town hall that reached thousands of listeners to discuss the latest threats to the federal Historic Tax Credit and how we can all be advocates for this essential program. If you missed the call, you can listen and share the recording online now.
The Society for the Preservation of Old Mills (SPOOM) has identified over 500 mills throughout Maryland — only a fraction of which are still standing. This exercise illustrates the need to preserve Maryland’s industrial heritage like Preservation Maryland is helping to do along the Jones Falls in Baltimore City.
Now is the Time: Giving Tuesday Redux
12/20/2016 By Preservation Maryland
Preservation Maryland is the first and foremost historic preservation organization in Maryland. We work to bring technical assistance, capacity building, and economic revitalization to communities across the state – and we want to show you. Earlier this month, we hit the road to highlight our impacts across the state, check out our travel log below:
GIVING TUESDAY STRETCH GOAL
Thank you to all those that participated and supported our Giving Tuesday road trip and got us just over our fundraising goal! But our work is never done and we could really use your support to stabilize and winterize many of these properties before the snow flies.
So we’ve stretched our goal to $5000. Can you donate today? Consider supporting the sites of our Six-to-Fix program by donating $120 – that’s just $10 per project. You can make the difference between lost and saved.
