In advance of the opening of the Session of the Maryland General Assembly, Preservation Maryland will host several free public meetings to share our legislative agenda and encourage citizen participation throughout the year. We do our best to make it easy and there is no doubt that your advocacy is essential.

Marylanders deserve well-preserved neighborhoods, historic sites, and cultural landscapes! If you agree, join us, the only way we’ll accomplish these goals is by working together in advocacy.

Preservation Maryland and the Maryland League of Conservation Voters Education Fund with our local partners, will host a series of legislative preview meeting across  the Old Line State this January. At these important town hall-style meetings, attendees will learn about local, state, and federal advocacy efforts to help save and support places that matter and how you can personally be a force for preservation and conservation.

ATTENDEES can expect the following:

  • Meet and network with other Maryland preservation advocates
  • Learn about the state preservation and environmental programs that make a difference, why they are needed, and what might happen to them during the coming session of the Maryland General Assembly
  • Find out how to make the case for preservation and learn more about opportunities to get involved
  • Receive training and an advocacy toolkit to help make you an effective preservation and conservation advocate
